At Peter & Karen Bowen racing, horse health is paramount to performance.  Investments such as the equine spa have given some excellent results in the yard but as Peter explains they are methodical in the way they use such devices.

If we spend money on something, I like to ensure that my staff has every knowledge on how to apply and use them correctly. Its no use sitting in the corner of the tack room.  Peter Bowen.

Equine Spa

Bought from Ean Branston, the Equine Spa is housed in a specially built covered barn.

Cold Salt Hydrotherapy is used to treat (and prevent) a multitude of injuries in 2C / 35F saltwater.  The spa has successfully addressed virtually all lower leg injuries.  Treatment temperature alone induces a massive rush of blood and circulation which otherwise would not be present. This drug free therapy can be used preventatively to increase mobility and reduce swelling in the limbs before and after competitive events and training.

The ECB Equine Spa  is a self-contained unit holding 2000 ltrs / 530 gal of saltwater that can be used for up to 3,000 treatments. Some ECB units can treat over 20 horses daily.  Rehabilitation facilities can also expect additional revenue relating to an increase in stable income.

The MicroVet is an affordable easy to use device which has been proven to heal tendon problems in racehorses. Used hugely in the sports world with great success, it has recently been adapted and used on racehorses with equally good results.  Peter believes that the MicroVet system has made a massive contribution to the improvement of many horses.

Equissage is a world renowned horse massage system that can help to improve your horse's life, fitness and performance.  Peter and Karen regularly use the equissage on their horses.
